Coton Green Primary proposed expansion consultation.

The Governing Body, in partnership with The Arthur Terry Learning Partnership (ATLP) and Staffordshire County Council, are proposing to expand the school to help provide more places for local children. Whilst this is a separate to the proposed academy conversion, ATLP have been involved as part of the due diligence process and are in full support of the planned proposals.

This four-week informal consultation starts Monday 20 January 2020 and ends 4.00pm on Friday 14 February 2020. The consultation seeks to gather opinions on the proposal for Coton Green Primary School to expand the number of pupil places available, in order to meet a projected increase in demand from new housing.

The proposed expansion will be funded through housing developer contributions.

The Governing Body of Coton Green Primary School wants to hear the views of local families, local community, school staff, governors and parents/ guardians and other bodies on a proposed expansion of the school to provide an additional 105 places, an increase of 15 places per year group, from September 2021.

The additional children would start being admitted to the school in Reception from September 2021. This will result in a gradual increase in full time pupils over several years.

The consultation document and letter from the school can be viewed below.

Please send the school your views by 4.00pm on Friday 14 February 2020.
